If I could give more than 5 stars the only appropriate number would be infinite. This practice is incredible. I am one of those people that after several bad experiences at different practices and life getting busy, I developed severe dental anxiety and stopped going. I knew it was time to get back but was apprehensive. I was having severe TMJ pain related to stress and had a tooth that needed to be taken care of. After searching initially for dental offices that use the STA Wand (my last dentist did and this type of anesthetic worked for me due to my anxiety with needles), Monmouth Dental Arts came up. When I called to confirm, they unfortunately don’t use it but provided me the information on social media of how Dr. Adly uses needles and administers anesthesia, they recommended me viewing the video. After watching the video and reading (no joke) every single google review, I decided to make my first appointment. The night before, Dr. Adly called to introduce himself and asked if I had any questions and addressed any of my concerns. The next day at the appointment, I was introduced to the staff and given a tour of the practice. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. My appointment was with Dr. Elia- never in my life have I felt so comfortable in a dental exam chair. I had a comprehensive exam to assess what was going on and she and the DA, Erica, explained everything along the way and answered any and all questions. Prior to taking the X-Rays, it was also nice to know that they check to see what your insurance will cover and what you’re potentially responsible for before doing any tests so there are no financial surprises. Today was my follow-up appointment to begin my treatment plan, again with Dr. Elia and KayLynn, and the experience couldn’t have been more relaxing and painless. Have you ever met someone that had tears of joy after receiving anesthesia at the dentist because it was absolutely painless? No? Well, nice to meet you 🤝🏽 Even today, when we had to tweak our original treatment plan, they checked with Jodi at the front desk if there would be any changes in my responsibility since we went off the original plan. This may sound silly but the fact that they care about their patients that they recheck your benefits each time and give you an estimated patient plan with your responsibility when you’re having work done means so much. At the end of the day, if you’re someone like me who has struggled with dental anxiety and you’re trying to find a new practice because you’re trying to get back into regular visits and maintenance- Monmouth Dental Arts should be your starting point. I drive 40 minutes to get to the office; if I had to I would drive 3 hours. Dental appointments don’t need to be stressful or painful and they shouldn’t be if you have a team that is taking their time, taking your concerns and past experiences into consideration, and are compassionate and you will find all of that across all staff levels at this practice.
